Allah created us with
different shapes, colors, genders, nations and roles, because life does need
variety to be livable. Everyone has a unique character, special interests,
and different dreams and paths, but the question is: What does the society do
with all these powers?
It always stereotype us and kill
our creativity and passion, but what annoys me the most is that sometimes
parents do so, too. I know several people who are forced to study medicine by
their parents for several reasons like: it's a family tradition, it's well-paid
or simply because they don't see any other successful field in life!
What's the outcome?
Failed people with no creativity at all suffering
from depression and uselessness, and living like robots. Everyday they repeat
the same routine, getting up, going to work they don't like, coming back, sleeping
to the next day, that's it. Nothing special. Nothing different.
Why am I talking about that?
It's because of "Alike", an animated
short silent movie which got Goya Award for Best Animated Short Film
in 2015. I coincidentally watched
it while browsing Youtube and I was shocked. It's not about leaving school to
play violin. It's about making a new developed education system that can bring
the most out of students, but firstly it's for parents not to be murders of
their own children.
What if you have parents like the one in the
movie?
Be courageous and choose
your own future by yourself. No one else will pay the price but you. Believe me
it's worth trying ツ
